Mad Catz – Neue Die-Sims-Franchise-Produkte im Anmarsch


Mad Catz Interactive hat in Übereinkunft mit Electronic Arts die Rechte an der Produktion neuer Die-Sims-Franchise Items erworben.

Peripheriegeräte-Hersteller Mad Catz Interactive hat in Übereinkunft mit Electronic Arts die nicht-exklusiven Vertriebsrechte an Accessoires zu EAs PC-Spielreihe Die Sims erworben. Für mehrere Jahre hat Mad Catz Interactive nun das Recht, Die-Sims-Franchise-Produkte für PC, XBox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Nintendo DS und Nintendo 3DS herauszubringen.

Patrick O’Brien, Vize-Präsident von Electronic Arts zeigt sich zufrieden und sieht in dem Deal die Möglichkeit, die Wahrnehmung des Die-Sims-Franchise noch auszuweiten:

„We are delighted to be working with Mad Catz to further broaden the appeal of The Sims franchise through the introduction of specialty PC and console accessories.“

O’Brien betont, dass Mad Catz über viel Erfahrung verfügt und Produkte herstellt, die Spieler ansprechen:

„Mad Catz has a long history of working with game publishers to deliver unique products, and we believe that together we can introduce a range of accessories that appeal to players of The Sims series.“

Und auch Darren Richardson, Präsident und CEO von Mad Catz freut sich sehr über die Zusammenarbeit mit Electronic Arts:

„We are excited to work with EA and one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time.“

Richardson sieht in der Spiele-Reihe Die Sims Potenzial für seine Firma, auch neue Zielgruppen anzusprechen:

„The Sims is a new and exciting opportunity for Mad Catz to reach a wider audience that includes both casual and enthusiast gamers. Our agreement with EA is part of our long-term strategy of working with the premium gaming brands and deliver innovative consumer focused accessories.“
