Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones ist die bereits dritte Episode der beliebten Action-Adventure-Reihe „Sands of Time“. Ubisoft Montreal hat das Spiel entwickelt.
In der Folge wurde „The Two Thrones“ als „Rival Swords“ für PlayStation Portable und Nintendo Wii adaptiert. Auf Nintendos Konsole bekam das Spiel Support für die Bewegungssteuerung.
